Tell Your Reps: Oppose Fast Track Trade Authority

We've delayed as best we could, but it's happened: Sen. Max Baucus, Sen. Orrin Hatch and Rep. Dave Camp just introduced Fast Track legislation that, if passed, would severely limit debate and block all amendments to the Trans-Pacific Partnership free trade deal.

However, Fast Track is not exactly popular in the House, especially among most Democrats. If we can convince enough representatives that Fast Track is a terrible idea, we will seriously complicate the United States' ability to ram TPP into law and possibly derail it once and for all.

The corporations and their allies in Congress want this trade agreement too badly to go down without a fight. With your help, we can block this push to pass the TPP in the dark, and put an end to this deal for good.

We want to know what they said - record responses in the form on the left.

Sample script:

Hello, my name is ___{name}___ and I'm calling today to ask that my congress member, ___{Rep's name}___, oppose the Trade Promotion bill recently introduced by Rep. Dave Camp.

This bill would give President Obama fast track trade authority so he can pass the controversial and secretive Trans-Pacific Partnership without input or amendments from congress. Considering the dire consequences of past free-trade agreements for working Americans - no future agreements should be passed without intense scrutiny and public debate.

I hope that ___{Rep's name}___ join the bipartisan effort to maintain congressional oversight of trade agreement by opposing this bill.
