Take the Pledge! ![]() Medical marijuana can wait no longer. For decades, patients, doctors, caregivers and even state employees have risked federal prosecution because of medical marijuana's Schedule I status under the Controlled Substances Act. But it doesn't need to be this way. Washington and Rhode Island Governors Christine Gregoire and Lincoln Chafee petitioned the Drug Enforcement Agency to reschedule medical marijuana, so that it can be prescribed by doctors. Legalizing medical marijuana nationally requires DEA and FDA approval alone - no act of Congress needed. We're starting a national initiative to get governors to sign on in support of Chafee and Gregoire's DEA petition. Can you pledge to get your state to support rescheduling medical marijuana?
